Joie’s bohemian girl was given an added touch of cool for spring. As well as the brand’s staple peasant blouses and maxi dresses, which were worked in a variety of prints and in white crochet with tiered tops, Joie’s vice president of design, Rachel Wilder-Hill peppered the collection with more androgynous items. These included a pale blue chambray boyfriend jacket and a khaki camouflage jacket with touches of tone-on-tone embroidery.
Animal prints also put in an appearance to enhance the brand’s edge, as on a nubuck leopard-print biker jacket or cute pink and cream shorts. As the brand moves into new territories, mixing and matching styles, it gains in contemporary appeal.
