Australia-based designer Michelle Aznavorian’s Misha Collection already has a celeb following — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Bella and Gigi Hadid, the Kardashians and Jenners, Jennifer Lopez and Alessandra Ambrosio were all named as clients in her bio — and the appeal is clear. Aznavorian designs going-out, red-carpet-friendly ensembles in monochromatic palettes and sexy cuts. Her retail accounts include Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Revolve and Shopbop.
That said, not every successful brand translates well on the runway. Although some of the dresses seemed perfectly fine for girls seeking a lower-priced Balmain-esque aesthetic, others red a bit, well, celebrity wannabe. There were draped leather body-con dresses, leopard femme-fatale coats, gold-fringed slips, deep-V lace jumpsuits, and feather-trimmed long-sleeved frocks — pretty much the dream wardrobe of any aspiring reality show star.
