Inspired by the lightness of air, Marcel Ostertag’s spring collection seemed to be a blend of preppy ath-leisure and prairie references. There was movement in the loose silhouettes and sheerness in the gowns that felt more special than the ready-to-wear looks. Oversized knits looked wearable, especially a white sweater atop sheer lightweight pants. The mix of exaggerated ruffles, preppy elements, horse and sky prints, however, didn’t translate into a cohesive collection.
