Minimal yet feminine silhouettes crafted from high-end fabrics and injected with a modern edge were at the core of Co’s charming lineup. Los Angeles-based Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern infused their spring offering with a sense of romanticism, which felt current and fresh. “This collection is a bit of a departure from resort, which was more girly,” Danan said. “Here we used more Moroccan, Andalusian and Mediterranean references and we showed more skin than usual.”
These inspirations translated into pretty dresses and separates, including a tailored vest paired with wide-legged cropped pants embellished with maxi ruffles — one of the season’s biggest trends so far. More essential designs, such as fluid flared maxiskirts, slipdresses and thick-knitted sweaters, were juxtaposed against traffic-stopping-yet-sophisticated maxi frocks worked in a soft, lightweight gold lamé. Effortless-chic long dresses in a micro-floral pattern were lively options for hot summers in the city.
