After a few collections filled with intricate but stiff outfits, Krizia showcased a more approachable lineup in June. With the spring show, creative director Zhu Chongyun again demonstrated she’s on the right path. The show opened with a rage of minimal, chic designs worked in a palette of white and black. Tops and fluid dresses were decorated with ruffles and a cotton jumpsuit belted at the waist had a practical attitude. Chongyun also looked to a man’s wardrobe for inspiration, such as an elongated pinstriped vest layered over a feminine see-through frock. She then livened things up by introducing colors, including a light-blue tone, which gave a fresh look to a lightweight mohair ruffled sweater matched with short pants. Krizia’s iconic tiger appeared in a vivid print, splashed on a sheath dress and a casual sweatshirt. Black and metallic hues were combined in a group of evening pieces that closed the show. They included a mini and a maxidress, both embellished with a sculptural maxi ruffle with a 3-D effect.
