The designer’s starting point for this playful — and, at times, deliberately trashy — lineup was the parody of an ultramodernist villa in Jacques Tati’s 1958 film “Mon Oncle.”
Price referenced the villa’s round windows and curved pathways with similarly shaped seams and contrasting fabric panels on multicolored minidresses; a short, flesh-baring romper, and a shorts-and-cropped-jacket combo.
Riffing on clubwear and athleticwear, she also offered up tracksuit styles and zip tops, many featuring contrasting panels of luridly colored silk.
One strapless gown with a full skirt classed things up — fitting, given that both the presentation and after party took place at Selfridges’ Forest Restaurant & Bar, with a performance from rapper Little Simz — even if said dress had a saucy split that went from floor to ribcage.
