Barbara Bui’s spring collection offered several different takes on her love for a single genre: sexy rock ‘n’ roll.
A brown leather crisscross cropped top gave sizzle to the preppy notions of a white blazer and skin-tight Bermudas. A hefty fringed wrap poncho suggested a saucy urban bohemian. An exotic-skin jacket and pants in a graphic purple and black pattern put the lineup in its glam-rock phase, while scant slipdresses worn askew over triangle bras channeled messy minimalism.
With fringe, leather and bare flesh to spare, the collection wasn’t subtle — but it will provide plenty of visual stimulation for Bui’s confident customers come spring.
