It was a Seventies world at Jill Stuart as the designer sent out a strong, confident collection that channeled Bianca Jagger back in her Mick days.
The lineup had a boyish attitude but with a feminine flair, as with men’s wear stripes that came in soft, makeuplike hues — mauves, nudes and blushes — on tops and dresses.
The other big statement for Stuart was the midi; most noteworthy was a mauve suede skirt paired with a striped shirt. For evening, Stuart tricked it up with one-shoulder numbers that had an amped-up sex appeal, but didn’t really fit into the mood of the overall collection.
