In his notes, the designer said he was inspired by the liquid quality of Sergio Redegalli’s glass sculptures and the textures of Tara Donovan’s oversize sculptures. The former was seen in intricate glass beading, beautifully expressed in a crystal-beaded halter-bodice gown. The textured pieces, however, seemed a bit overthought when done in multiple layers and tricky cuts.
Ironically, the simplest, almost negligee-like slipdresses were the most outstanding.
