Previously designer at Gucci and creative director at Valentino, Alessandra Facchinetti made a fashion comeback in Paris this season by launching into the contemporary fray with Uniqueness, produced by Italian fashion label Pinko. Despite a disorienting presentation combining video clips, backstage commotion and flashes of runway action, the collection was legible enough, with military details giving it the feeling of modernist air-hostess uniforms. Items to don at regular altitudes included white tuxedo pants, ribbon blouses and featherweight trenchcoats. Everything is already for sale on the brand’s Web site.
