Wes Gordon has found a sweet spot in the tension between softness and industrialism. For the past few seasons, he’s honed a romantic Nineties minimalist mood defined by georgette slipdresses and lace worn with unlined tailored coats.
This season, Gordon worked with a lot of black-and-white, showing white slips and black lace T-shirts paired with high-waisted flared pants with contrast topstitching (a silhouette he’s shown in the past). The clean femininity of ruffled georgette dresses with gentle, harness-like straps and clean tailoring made for a cool, effortless match.
