Sometimes having no plan is the best plan. Case in point: Marissa Webb’s resort collection. Starting to sketch one day, without any particular inspiration, Webb looked at some petals on her desk and began translating their swirls and shapes into structured looks. “I tend to always have ruffles but usually in softer fabrications. This time I used more sturdy fabrics that could hold up the shapes,” she said.
The result: flirtatious little white dresses and separates that could go from beach to brunch. The designer also offered beautiful printed floral pieces in flowy silhouettes paired with her signature army green jackets, as well as boxy pants/feminine tops combos.
