Norma Kamali’s pre-fall lineup included new offerings from each of her collections, which meant a mélange of sportswear, activewear and staples from her Kamali Kulture line. She showed the looks via a video of a model showing off some funky dance moves, declaring: “I’m so over runway or anything that has to do with it; this is more fun.”
Done in distressed and silver-foil terry, poly-Lycra, cotton and jersey Modal fabrics with burn-out treatments, pre-fall looks were all about comfort, or, as Kamali put it, “real clothes for real people.” Activewear featured performance-minded details, such as reflective tape and compression engineering. Sportswear included a pinstripe vest and Bermuda short set, as well as more “extreme” pieces, like Kamali’s classic one-piece catsuit, this season featuring a lace-up back.
