Josie Natori gave an emphatic nod to city chic for pre-fall. She did it best via her attention to fabric and texture, particularly the black stretch denim with swirled white stitching and three-dimensional accents used on an easy coat and A-line dress.
Natori cut her shapes with more flare this season, beautifully rendering these silhouettes in all her pre-fall fabrics: bonded cottons, silks and jersey. The requisite lean pants, short jackets and long vests were all in the lineup, but for the latest generation of Ladies Who Lunch, it’s all about that coat and dress.
