For Daisuke Obana’s spring collection, the ocean served as the main source of ideas. The first part of the show depicted the sporty side of the sea with pieces including bomber jackets, hooded sweatshirts and color-blocked pants made from Neoprene and technical fabrics. The lineup also addressed the more leisurely side of oceanic life with oversize printed cotton shirts and wide-leg pants. A seafarer feel came through with the roomy sweaters and a matching chambray ensemble decorated with white stripes.
Outside of those two major themes, Obana debuted collections he has with Reebok, which will only be available in Japan, in addition to Lee jeans and Porter, which he worked with on backpacks. His active pieces for Reebok featured the brand’s enlarged logo placed on black Windbreakers, sweatshirts and shorts made from nylon. For Lee, Obana showed denim utility shirts along with a denim and leather collarless jacket and matching pants.
