Experimental label Ada + Nik launched 18 months ago with a handful of leather jackets, but has since developed into a compact wardrobe — albeit for directional types who only wear black and aren’t shy to wear shorts with Gaultier-esque pleated half skirt.
This season was all about the gladiator punk, said Ada Zanditon, who designs the label with Nik Thakkar. “Lots of British men’s wear takes inspiration from the suit but, we’re reaching much further back to what Greco Roman gladiators wore.” Cue tabards, long padded coats, sleeveless jackets, tops with calf hair panels and dungarees in a fusion of leather and nylon technical fabrics.

The duo also unveiled a collaboration with tech brand Narrative — a leather jacket with a built-in camera allowing the wearer to go “hands free” and “document his environment without losing the experience of the moment,” said Thakkar.
