The collection by sisters Faye and Erica Toogood, which made its London Fashion Week debut on Monday featured oversize, trapeze-shaped unisex coats in a palette of black, cream and slate, variously crafted from coated cottons, cashmere, lambswool, quilted calico, hand-painted canvas and woven cotton rope.
The sisters cast clay pipes and pieces of pottery in jasminite and affixed them to the garments via grommets, the idea being that their clothing is a vessel for collecting.
