Renaming their growing label Redemption (minus Choppers) in a bid to steer it into new territory, creative duo Gabriele Moratti and Daniele Sirtori moved forward in more ways than one. They delivered a more polished collection in which biker references were still visible — on a simple black strapless dress with a motorcycle chain belt and edging, for example — but were less overt.
Black leather still played a major role, as on fitted pants and a perfecto jacket, but its edge was softened by the addition of cowhide panels and curly sheepskin fur. A whimsical black-and-white flower print on a loose silk-and-cashmere blend top had a relaxed charm, while the beaded embroideries on a long, low-backed black chiffon dress showed just how far the label has come.
