A techno girl from Shanghai was Angela Missoni’s inspiration for her contemporary label M Missoni. And the Asian references were abundant: cropped wide-leg pajama pants and cropped jackets with asymmetrical closures, Lurex jacquard frocks in traditional floral motifs, and kimono-style dresses. All were fun and youthful. But for the classic M Missoni customer, there were plenty of core pieces with traditional zigzag knits and space-dyed yarns on everything from dresses to the trimmings on puffer coats.
