After 25 years in business, Peter Langner just moved his design studio from Rome to Milan, causing him to forfeit his bridal show at the last minute and hold private market appointments instead. Unlike many designers, Langner does not start with a specific inspiration for his collection, but rather takes cues from textiles and the drape of the fabric he chooses. His styles range from minimal, architectural gowns with simple folds to elaborate, over-the-top creations. Case in point: a gold gown with an embroidered bodice and a skirt made of tulle petals. Each piece is crafted by hand, from the intricate beading to the boning in his corsets.
