Taraji P. Henson embraced grandeur and regality for Zuhair Murad‘s spring 2026 couture presentation on Wednesday during Paris Couture Week.
The Oscar-nominated actress turned to the Lebanese designer’s fall 2025 couture collection, wearing a shimmering, jewel-encrusted sleeveless gown. Henson’s dress featured deep shades of red and maroon, with gemstones covering the semi-sheer fabric of the gown in a cascading style, with heavy embellishments on the bodice that transitioned to fewer and fewer on the skirt.
The gown was paired with a textured, floor-length shawl that further enhanced the overall aesthetic luxury of the look. Henson’s makeup and hair complemented the theatricality of her attire, with her hair tossed in a high bun and the actress’ makeup featuring dramatic eyes and a muted lip.

Henson’s Zuhair Murad fall 2025 couture gown was inspired, as with the other designs from the curation, by Hollywood’s Golden Age and timeless glamour. By identifying the tension between strength and femininity, Murad crafted a collection that merged structure with softness.
“While his recent resort and ready-to-wear collections have been more toned-down affairs, Murad brought the bling back with sparkle and swish,” Rhonda Richford wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“He took the ‘golden’ in Golden Age literally, using a palette of yellows and plenty of shine. One sequined column shimmered like a freshly polished Oscar,” Richford wrote. “For the first time, Murad introduced opulent faux furs in stoles, wraps and oversize cocoon coats. Some were embellished with beading and cabochons, adding another layer of glamour without the cruelty and ethical compromise.”
Murad’s spring 2026 couture collection, which debuted in Paris on Wednesday, followed suit with the themes and elements of his fall 2025 couture collection. Juxtaposing current global tensions and bleak news from different corners of the world, Murad embraced sartorial optimism and opulence, per Richford’s WWD review.
