Nicole Scherzinger put a sparkling spin on the skirt suit at a Michael Kors cocktail party at the legendary Bemelmans Bar on Monday. The event kicked off New York Fashion Week and honored the opening of Kors’ new Madison Avenue boutique.
Scherzinger sported a sequined floor-length skirt and a black bra top, layering on a black blazer. Silver statement earrings completed her look.
The former Pussycat Doll wore her dark tresses in a ponytail, while her makeup consisted of brown eyeshadow and a muted brick red lip.

Scherzinger currently stars in the Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “Sunset Blvd.” Based on the 1950 film of the same name, the new production features stripped-down sets and costumes.
“We’re thinking outside of the box, it’s so unconventional and so unique,” Scherzinger told “Today” last month. “It’s great because we stripped it all back and it’s all about the human emotion, the human journey.”
For her morning show appearance, the singer opted for a dark teal Akris body-con dress featuring shoulder cutouts and a sultry thigh-high slit. She accessorized with gray pointed-toe pumps, a metallic miniature handbag and diamond-encrusted jewelry.
“I’m so grateful to be able to step into a role like this that gets to show every facet of me,” Scherzinger added. “I get to give my whole being and my whole heart and soul every night.”
Other high-profile guests in attendance at Kors’ soirée included Alan Cumming, Iman and fellow Broadway star Katie Holmes, who appeared in the revival of Thornton Wilder’s play “Our Town” earlier this year.
