Millie Bobby Brown hit the red carpet on Tuesday for a special screening of “The Electric State” in New York City. The Florence by Mills founder took runway inspiration for her attire, merging botanical elements with sculptural design.
Brown wore a gown courtesy of Tamara Ralph’s fall 2024 couture collection. The look featured a strapless black dress with a thigh-high slit. While the base element of the look was classic, sculptural elements were added to add definition to the piece.
From the bodice to the waistline of Brown’s dress were three-dimensional floral embellishments with shades of soft pink and metallic. The ornate design extended to a piece that wrapped around Brown’s neck, acting as a bold statement that tied the ensemble together.

Tamara Ralph’s fall 2024 couture collection made its runway debut as part of Paris Fashion Week in June 2024. The collection featured romantic styles and silhouettes with a bevy of feminine touches, a departure from Ralph’s two prior collections, which focused on armor-clad pieces.
“Hers was an idealized vision of Paris full of vintage references — the opening pencil dress in houndstooth check was paired with a demure pillbox hat and veil, nodding to the black-and-white imagery of the Nouvelle Vague. Fishtail skirts and peplum jackets had a role to play, as did sweeping necklines and draping to enhance the silhouette,” Alex Wynne wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Velvet gowns in the deepest black with shimmering embroideries in vertical waves punctuating the body might evoke the glittering Eiffel Tower at night through the window of a speeding cab. Allover mirror designs nodded perhaps to the lavish Art Deco interiors of the city’s eateries,” Wynne wrote of the highlights.
“Embroidered mesh gloves and lace stockings, could that have been a trip to the Moulin Rouge? A minidress sewn all over with black baquette sequins, complete with a cone bra, had something of the showgirl aesthetic too.”
Brown stars alongside Chris Pratt in “The Electric State,” an adaptation based on the novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag. The film follows a teenage girl who partners with a mysterious robot and an eccentric grifter to find her brother in a dystopian future. “The Electric State” hits Netflix on Friday.
