Kate Winslet went the custom route with her Elie Saab gown for the premiere of her directorial debut “Goodbye June” in London on Wednesday night.
The Oscar-winning actress wore a formfitting dress in black from the Lebanese designer, featuring off-the-shoulder straps and a belted waist with gold buckle hardware for added silhouette definition. The skirt of the dress continued to hug the actress’ frame, flaring at the bottom into a mermaid style.
The simplicity of the dress was the ideal canvas for Winslet’s accessories. The actress wore delicate pieces of gold and black jewelry, including rings, a necklace, earrings and watch, by Annoushka Jewellery and Melinda Maria.

As for her glam, Winslet turned to hairstylist Nicola Clarke, who coiffed Winslet’s hair into a low bun with wisps of waves to frame the actress’ face. Artist Lisa Eldridge provided makeup to the star, with highlights including bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy, muted rose lip. Winslet’s look was curated by stylist Cheryl Konteh.
While posing on the red carpet, Winslet was joined by her 21-year-old son Joe Anders, whom she shares with former husband Sam Mendes. Anders followed suit with his attire, putting a modern spin on suited styling with a black blazer and coordinated trousers, a white, slightly unbuttoned dress shirt and layers of necklaces to accessorize his look.
Winslet last hit the red carpet in 2024 for her film “Lee.” During the promotional tour for the film, Winslet attended several red carpet events, including the film’s London premiere, for which she wore a gown by British designer Jenny Packham — a favorite couturier of Kate Middleton.
“Goodbye June” marks Winslet’s directorial debut and follows four siblings who come together after their mother’s health takes a turn for the worse over the holidays. The film, which was written by Anders, costars Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, Andrea Riseborough, Johnny Flynn and Timothy Spall. “Goodbye June” arrives on Netflix Dec. 24.
