Kate Hudson opted for major cutouts for her look at the special screening of her new series “Running Point” on Wednesday in New York City. The Oscar-nominated actress was joined by fellow cast members, including Justin Theroux and Brenda Song.
Hudson opted for a black maxidress with a plunging neckline and cutouts on the side. The dress featured slight fabric ruching and a formfitting silhouette, with thick straps and a flowing skirt that added movement to the piece.
On either side of her dress, bold cutouts were featured beneath a band of fabric that defined Hudson’s waist. Hudson added a pair of platform shoes to go along with her attire and styled a pair of black chandelier earrings to accessorize her look.

As for her glam, Hudson’s hair and makeup featured a clean, natural look. Her blond tresses were styled with a slight side part in cascading waves that flowed down her back. Hudson’s makeup included bold brows, a slight smokey eye and a bright pink lip for an added pop of color.
Throughout her “Running Point” press tour, Hudson’s worked with stylist Marc Eram. For the premiere of the Netflix comedy series on Feb. 13, Eram styled Hudson in a shimmering gold Roberto Cavalli couture gown with a flowing train and plunging neckline.
Hudson’s “Running Point” premiere look also featured jewelry pieces by Hassanzadeh Jewellery. Her glam team featured the talents of Lona Maria Vigi, who styled Hudson’s hair, and Debra Ferullo, who did Hudson’s makeup.
Cocreated by Mindy Kaling, “Running Point” follows Isla Gordon (Hudson), who is appointed the new president of the Los Angeles Waves basketball team, which her family owns. Despite skepticism, Isla is determined to prove her doubters wrong. The series is available to stream on Netflix.
