Organized by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the New York Film Festival began its 61st edition on Sept. 29 and will run through Oct. 15. This year, the festival is featuring screenings of “May December,” “Poor Things,” “All Of Us Strangers,” “The Boy and the Heron,” “Maestro” and “Priscilla,” among others.
Since its inception in 1963, the NYFF has celebrated the finest in world cinema, showcasing a diverse range of films from established and emerging filmmakers. Unlike many other festivals, NYFF does not have a competitive section, focusing instead on a curated selection of significant works.
