The bob trend shows no signs of slowing down as red carpet season approaches.
At the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday night, models, comedians, athletes and artists alike proved the above-the-shoulders cut is just as in vogue now as it was when it first took off in early 2024. The usual suspects such as Leslie Bibb and Naomi Watts posed with their signature blond hair chopped just below their ears, while bob first-timer Naomi Campbell put a high-low spin on the style and cut micro bangs, too.
Ahead, WWD takes a look at the bob hair moments from Campbell, Bibb, Watts, and more.

Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell’s beauty has become synonymous with her long black hair over the years; the ends ferociously swaying against her back as she stormed the runway. However, Campbell decided to evolve her signature aesthetic, taking inches of her ends. Instead of the typical even cut, Campbell opted for longer pieces toward the front and shorter ends in the back. She also threw in some wispy micro bangs.
The international supermodel has yet to credit the stylist behind her new hairdo. Campbell’s longtime collaborator Rio Sreedharan was unable to style her for the event.
Angel Reese
Angel Reese’s fashion foray continues. The 23-year-old WNBA star made her mark on the white carpet, less than a month after her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut. To honor the occasion, Reese bleached her hair and chopped it to her collarbone. The blond bob was a far cry from her bombshell black hair on the Victoria’s Secret runway in October.
Reese’s stylist Jamal Bryce was the architect behind her new hair, which he pulled from DHair Boutique.
Ciara
Ciara is no stranger to the bob. In fact, the 40-year-old singer has sported the above-the-shoulders cut several times now. Her refined chop resembled that of Anna Wintour’s, minus the micro bangs.
Davontae’ Washington was the hairstylist behind her look. Washington has famously worked with a slew of A-listers, from Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles to Cardi B.
Chloe Fineman
Chloe Fineman’s hair evolution continues. The “Saturday Night Live” comedian arrived inside the American Museum of Natural History on Monday with her caramel-colored hair cut in a long bob — a “Lob,” if you will. Fineman’s blond face-framing layers melted between her dark brown streaks; the event-cut ends brushing her collarbone to bring out the baby blue hue of her wrinkled Tory Burch dress.
Fineman’s bob was courtesy of stylist Takuya Yamaguchi, the same artist responsible for keeping Gracie Abrams’s ends even.
Leslie Bibb
Leslie Bibb’s bob is here to stay. The “White Lotus” Season Three star stepped out for the CFDA Fashion Awards with the same short style she’s donned for the last few years. As per usual, her shiny blond ends hugged the bottom of her ears, not a long strand in sight.
Bibb took to her Instagram story before the annual event, sharing a behind-the-scenes video of Chris McMillan trimming her ends. “Am I the only person who says do what you want?” Bibb asked McMillan, to which the beauty founder replied: “Most people do these days.”
Naomi Watts
Like Bibb, Naomi Watts stuck to her signature bob style on the CFDA Fashion Awards white carpet on Monday, where her hair color toed the line of platinum and bleach blond, while her ends curled around her chin. The stark color brought out the deep red hue dressing her lips and her long black eyelashes, which reached her brow bone.
The “All’s Fair” actress tapped her longtime hairstylist Rebekah Forecast to be her hair architect for the night.
Olandria Carthen
“Love Island USA” Season Seven runner-up Olandria Carthen walked arm-in-arm with designer Brandon Blackwood across the CFDA Fashion Awards carpet on Monday, marking a major moment in her post-villa career. Carthen partnered her dark brown, strapless pony hair gown with a cherry cola bob courtesy of Tai Simon, who used hair by Jade Cheveux.
