If exclusive sneakers beget athletic success, the Oregon Ducks would never lose.
The sweetheart treatment for the alma matter of Nike co-founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman is continuing for March Madness, as the Oregon’s men’s basketball team was gifted pairs of a player-exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan 9.
The Air Jordan 9 Oregon Ducks PE was given to players after the men’s team was awarded a no. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament. White leather covers the majority of the sneaker, and green patent leather shines on the full-length mudguard. Yellow eyelets finish representing the University of Oregon‘s colors, and “Oregon Ducks” is spelled out across the two tongue tags. A green Jumpman sits on the white and black midsole and again on the white outsole. Yellow is then used for the heel’s globe-encased Jumpman logo.
