Nike is going all-in on its futuristic new Mind 001 recovery slides.
After just releasing the remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble in its original Solar Red colorway, the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear outfit will soon drape its new Mind 001 model in the shade for an eye-catching tonal look. As seen in just-surfaced Nike e-commerce images, the upcoming pair covers the foam shoe in the vibrant red shade while breaking things up with a mix of black and chrome branding.
Meanwhile, the shoe’s signature circular underfoot pods appear in an orange-leaning Hyper Crimson, the same hue used on the components of the Light Smoke Gray pair, which could indicate that Nike will keep the look uniform across new colorways.

While it’s bold in its blocky, sculpted design, it’s not yet clear if the Mind 001 uses any of Nike’s high-performance foams such as ReactX or ZoomX. The under-the-hood specs of the new model have yet to surface, but there doesn’t appear to be any overt tech branding on the shoe. Another one of Nike’s recent recovery shoes, the ReactX Rejuven8, features ReactX at a similar price point, so it’s possible the Mind 001 will make use of a similar setup.
Along with the aforementioned ReactX Rejuven8, recovery shoes have been a somewhat under-the-radar success story for Nike in 2025. Upon its debut at the start of the summer, the ReactX Rejuven8 could barely be kept in stock and Nike has also managed to move units of an even more ambitious model. While the $899 price tag of the Hyperice Hyperboot may have turned away some consumers, both Nike and Hyperice’s e-commerce stores currently show select sizes as out of stock.
The Mind 001 recovery slides will arrive at retail in early 2026, which should put it right on target for the return of warmer weather in the spring. This Solar Red colorway will be available in both men’s (HQ4309-600) and women’s (HQ4307-600) sizing. Retail pricing of $85 is expected.
