Nike consistently hooks up the University of Oregon‘s athletic programs with exclusive sneakers because of their longstanding relationship, and the newest spoils to emerge come via Nike’s most futuristic new basketball sneaker.
The Nike GT Future Oregon Ducks sees a feather print cover the Foamposite-esque upper. A tonal gray treatment carries across the entirety of the upper, while the sole unit is also rendered in gray. A black jewel Swoosh shines on the lateral side, and yellow “Ducks” text provides the lone hit of color on the medial. A black tongue then hosts the Oregon “logo” in gray.

Since launching last summer with just 300 pairs for its first colorway, the GT Future has been a hit for Nike Basketball and has sold out in several of its colorways. It features a single-piece modeled upper clearly indebted to the Air Foamposite One and packs modern technology underfoot with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole with a full-length Air Zoom strobel and an additional Air Zoom forefoot unit.

After being tapped to help introduce the model to the public earlier in 2024, Wale got an official collaboration on the GT Future late last year. Coming soon will also be an edition with a nebula graphic on its upper harkening back to the fabled Galaxy colorway of the Air Foamposite One.
Elsewhere in Nike Basketball for Oregon, Devin Booker revealed a Ducks player-exclusive colorway of his Book 2 over the weekend, and Sabrina Ionescu’s Sabrina 3 will continue her signature line’s series of themes for her alma matter to release this week.
The Nike GT Future Oregon Ducks is unlikely to release to the public, although a few pairs could wind up on the secondary market, should any Ducks basketball players decide to sell.
