Nike’s GT Future has had a great run since debuting last summer, selling out each colorway in all but a few stray sizes. The shoe’s first release came in a colorway only sold in New York City, and now an edition is coming with several shoutouts to New Jersey.
The Nike GT Future “Unseen Hours” will join a Ja 3 in the same series while taking a particular focus on the Garden State. Its Foamposite-esque upper is rendered in an iridescent purple, and the right tongue carries a triangle logo with the three states forming the tristate area: New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Further flourishes zoom in on New Jersey specifically, as the left tongue features the 201 area code. The insoles the feature a top-down map graphic with an hourglass on the left shoe and a New Jersey Nike Basketball logo on the right.

The aforementioned Ja 3 colorway also carries the same tristate logo on one inner tongue, the 860 area code on another and employs the same insole logo with Connecticut taking place of New Jersey.
While the concept of “Unseen Hours” needs little explanation with the amount of work that goes into basketball prior to the more glamorous displays, it’s not yet clear why the tristate area has been chosen as part of it. Ja Morant doesn’t have any overt connection to Connecticut, and a third shoe tied to New York should be expected to follow.
The Nike GT Future “Unseen Hours” is expected to release during the spring. Pricing has not yet been confirmed, and Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
