Nike‘s long-awaited Air Max 1000 will finally release to the public this month, and two separate releases will go down for the first two colorways.
The Nike Air Max 1000 Foamy Oat will release through a standard Snkrs app draw, while the black edition will drop exclusively at Zellerfeld and is limited to just 300 pairs.
First revealed last fall, the Air Max 1000 is fully 3D printed before its Air Max unit is popped in. Nike partnered with Zellerfeld, the German 3D printing specialists, for production of the laceless sneaker that was first shown to the public at ComplexCon and was seeded to select influencers during the spring.

With numerous textures and branding elements, the Air Max 1000 is 3D printed as a single piece using zellerFOAM, a 100 percent recyclable TPU compound. Its mudguard is designed to mimic that of the Air Max 1, the first Nike sneaker to feature visible Air technology.

Zellerfeld is known for working with a number of other brands on 3D-printed sneakers, including Louis Vuitton, Jeff Staple, Heron Preston and KidSuper.
The Nike Air Max 1000 Foamy Oat will release Aug. 19 through the Snkrs app through a draw open for 10 minutes. The Nike Air Max 1000 Black will release the same day through Zellerfeld’s website, and pricing for both is set at $180.
