New Balance’s Y2K-inspired 9060 may not receive the amount of collaborations and marketing bestowed on many of the brand’s lifestyle models, but the sneaker is quietly one of the most popular pairs in the Boston-based athletic footwear company’s current lineup. Fitting for the brand’s low-key approach, the 9060 has just been released in two new colorways without much of an introduction.
The New Balance 9060 is available now in new Pearl Gray/Shoreline Blue and Gray Matter/Pink Taffy colorways. The pairs are connected through their use of gray, matching color blocking and neon green accents on their branding and midsoles. Each pair is constructed with a white mesh base with slightly different shades of gray on their suede overlays. The tongue, heel and toe box of each style are colored in their respective Shoreline Blue and Pink Taffy shades, while the aforementioned neon green ties the duo together.

Beloved by both young and older demographics, the New Balance 9060 debuted in 2022 through a two-style “Inside Voices” collaboration with Joe Freshgoods. The model received a wider rollout later that summer and quickly caught on with consumers thanks to its mix of modern design and everyday comfort.
The 9060 is inspired by New Balance’s fan-favorite 99X line, updated with “warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the Y2K era,” according to the sneaker’s product description.
With dozens of colorways released thus far, it can be tricky to keep track of every 9060 style, but it’s clear the sneaker still has legs more than three years after its arrival.
The New Balance 9060 Pearl Gray/Shoreline Blue (style code U9060BLD) and Gray Matter/Pink Taffy (style code U9060BLE) colorways are available from newbalance.com for $160 each in a wide range of sizes from men’s 4 through 17.
