New Balance may have found a way to make its hit low-profile 204L sneaker even more whimsical with a new three-style pack set to arrive at retailers in the coming weeks.
Three new spins on the New Balance 204L will be released in March, with each pair featuring updated scalloped paneling and thick ribbon shoelaces which give the sleek model a decidedly feminine edge. The rippled, frill-like edges are seen on the lateral and medial side panels of the shoe across three neutral earth tone spins on the 204L in Sea Salt/Linen (style code U204L2SZ), Lone Star Gray/Sea Salt (style code U204L5AV) and Reflection/Truffle Salt (style code U204L6A6). colorways. Beyond the addition of the ribbon laces and scallop edges, the shoe maintains its typical construction with an EVA foam midsole and a mix of premium suede with mesh.
Along with the new ribbon-adorned styles, New Balance has also confirmed a restock of the 204L’s debut Mushroom/Arid Stone makeup. Introduced in July 2025, the Mushroom/Arid Stone look kicked off the rollout of the 204L, which has since seen dozens of in-line releases and notable collaborations with Basketcase and Kith.
