Michael Jordan’s new Trunner O/S “dad shoe” still hasn’t been officially released, but new styles of the upcoming sneaker continue to pile up. The latest look comes courtesy of star quarterback Jalen Hurts, who laced up a previously unseen all-red colorway of the unreleased model while arriving at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp.
Hurts’ pair of choice comes in a previously unseen all-red look. The new style sees the chunky, retro-inspired silhouette adopt a tonal University Red appearance with small black accents around the details of the Trunner O/S. Given the color’s connection to Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, it’s not surprising that an all-red version of the model is in the works.
In an Instagram caption, the Eagles referenced the fact that Hurts was the first to wear the new style. “Hurts to be the ONE bringing back the Trunner O/S,” the team account wrote.

The new model is positioned as part of a relaunch for Jordan Brand’s defunct Trunner line. First introduced in 1999, the Trunner was intended to offer the best of both worlds of training and running shoes. The most well-known model from the series is the Trunner LX, which is set for a timely reissue this year. Despite being tied to the brand’s legacy, the new Trunner O/S model has drawn comparisons to the bulky dad shoe trend that has shown staying power in recent years.
Red Jordan sneakers have historically been amongst the most popular options for retro models. The Air Jordan 4’s “Toro Bravo” colorway, a predominantly red version of the shoe first released in 2013, is rumored to be reissued in 2026. And the all-red look is coming to the Air Jordan 4’s less-expensive counterpart, the Air Jordan 4 RM, even sooner.
As for the Jordan Trunner O/S, a release date has not yet been confirmed by the brand, but the model is expected to debut at retail this fall for $115. In addition to the red style pictured here, the sneaker has surfaced in gray Cave Stone, a colorful Archaeo Brown/Persian Violet and a pink/black style. Given the number of pairs that have appeared ahead of the official launch, it’s clear that Nike, Inc. and Jordan Brand have some big plans for the revived Trunner franchise.
