U.S.-based independent footwear brand Dizygotic is teaming up with New York style icons and twin siblings Dee and Ricky for a new limited-edition sneaker drop which melds the duo’s signature mix of primary colors with the Oregon sneaker label’s mismatched concept.
The Dee and Ricky x Dizygotic Project Alpha shoes pay homage to the design duo’s Lego-inspired aesthetic. According to Dizygotic, the collaboration was creatively led by Dee, using a “solid versus pixelation” theme across the left and right shoes.

The pair nods to both sibling’s distinct approaches, referencing Dee’s detail-oriented vision alongside Ricky’s looser, unconventional attitude. This juxtaposition is seen on the collaboration, with the left shoe donning a white leather base and using precise, high-resolution imagery. Meanwhile, the right shoe starts with a black pigskin suede base and mixes in blurred and distorted details to represent the pixelated side. Both shoes feature brick-inspired blue, red and yellow color accents along with memory foam liners, EVA foam midsoles and Vibram MegaGrip outsoles.

“Together, the pair forms a conversation about identity, duality, and the space between clarity and concept,” reads Dizygotic’s official product description.
Dizygotic’s footwear is manufactured at Nectar Lab, a dedicated design and prototyping hub founded by Louis C. Zhang, a third-generation shoemaker, in 2017. The brand’s name means fraternal, or non-identical, twins, which contributes to its mismatched design philosophy. To date, it has released collaborations with the comedy duo Cheech & Chong and Penn Racquet Sports as well as a sneaker referencing the infamous NBA “Malice at the Palace” fight.
The Dee and Ricky x Dizygotic Project Alpha collaboration will be released Saturday with a special launch party showcasing two decades of the duo’s creative work. The launch will take place at Studio Busy at 375 Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn at 2 p.m. ET. The sneakers retail for $267.
