While some of the initial novelty around Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan Mule might have worn off, the hybrid shoe is still finding ways to stay in the conversation thanks to new iterations with subtle tweaks and material updates. Such is the case for a just-released special-edition style that’s available now.
The Air Jordan Mule SE in Anthracite/Metallic Silver dons a dark gray patent leather upper which is adorned with various studs and charms in flower, heart and star shapes. Described in a product description as adding a “whimsical touch,” the charms match the metallic silver Air Jordan-branded hardware seen on the mule’s midfoot band.

And soon, Japanese label Comme des Garçons Homme Plus will help the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear company reintroduce the Air Max Dolce as a patent leather slip-on.
Nike’s biggest recent slip-on success, however, has come from a different model. The brand’s Mind 001 Pregame Mules, which are intended to help athletes stay present and connect with their surroundings, have sold out in every launch thus far. More pairs are set to be released Thursday.
This latest Air Jordan Mule SE is available now exclusively in women’s sizing from nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers for $155. The style code for the new pair is IO7702-001.
