A rare pair of Air Jordan 7s inspired by the Dream Team and never before released in the U.S. will make its return for the first time this summer.
The Air Jordan 7 “Miró” is covered in graphics replicating the work of Spanish artist Joan Miró to call back to Michael Jordan‘s gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. It’s one of the most prized of all the model’s colorways because just 1,000 pairs were believed to have been made in 2008.
Colors from the Olympic logo and Miro’s “Dona i Ocell” sculpture are scattered across the white leather upper in the style of the Barcelona-born artist’s paintings. A Gold embroidered Jumpman on the collar invokes the Dream Team’s gold medal, while yellow, black, blue, red and green striped laces match the heel pull. On the heel, you’ll find the number 9 rather than the usual number 23, as the former is what Jordan wore as part of the first batch of NBA players to suit up for Team USA.

Beneath a translucent outsole is a continuation of the graphics with the flags for the teams Team USA played at the Olympics, as well as the score from each game. A set of laces also came with the original release with all five colors from the Olympic rings.
While this colorway debuted 16 years after the Barcelona Olympics in the lead-up to the Beijing Olympics, the Air Jordan 7 is the model Jordan played in for the 1992 games. Specifically, he wore a white colorway with silver, blue and red accents that’s naturally been dubbed “Olympic.”
On StockX, sales for the original Air Jordan 7 “Miró” have been logged for as high as $2,700.
The Air Jordan 7 “Miró” will be released on June 27, likely through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
