Michael Jordan’s beloved Air Jordan 4 is returning in what may be its most iconic style, the original Bred makeup, later this year, but there’s even more to come from the popular model in 2027.
A new Air Jordan 4 Retro “Spotlight” is slated for a January release according to @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files. With color blocking reminiscent of 1999’s “Oreo” Air Jordan 4, the new colorway combines a multi-material black upper with metallic silver accents. It’s worth noting that in-hand images of the style aren’t yet available, but a speculative mock-up was provided which is said to offer an accurate glimpse of what the sneaker will look like.

The upper of the upcoming pair is expected to feature faux alligator panels on its mudguard and support wings. Silver accents on the midsole, TPU eyelets and branding will add contrast to the otherwise blacked-out look.
Along with the aforementioned Bred reissue, there are several other Air Jordan 4 styles on the horizon. The sneaker’s red Toro Bravo colorway will return this month and in September, its Tour Yellow style will be reissued for the first time. But the most anticipated upcoming Air Jordan 4 is arguably Nigel Sylvester’s new Brick After Brick collaboration, which arrives May 22.
Designed by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 4 was first introduced in 1989. A more technical evolution of its Air Jordan 3 predecessor, the Air Jordan 4 has gone on to become one of Jordan Brand’s most popular retro models in the decades since its debut.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Spotlight will be released exclusively in women’s sizing. The sneaker has a full colorway of Black/Metallic Silver/Metallic Silver/Black and its style code is HV0823-002.
