Along with a recently released set of Air Jordan 1s inspired by burgers, fries and milkshakes, Jordan Brand has another set of food-inspired sneakers on the way. This time, pizza is the muse for an Air Jordan 1 Low and Air Jordan 4, the latter of which is highlighted here.
New imagery shared by Sneaker Goods Miami shows the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro “Pizza” in full detail. The shoe has a full colorway of Sesame/Fire Red/Black/White which amounts to a pie-colored leather upper with a matching suede mudguard. Black is the key accent on the pair, filling in most of the midsole and TPU support wings, while a tomatoey Fire Red covers the outsole and branding.

Inside, a red-and-white checkered insole conjures images of to-go boxes, which is further emphasized with a matching custom shoebox. The special packaging features “served hot!” and “made fresh since 1985” branding. The shoes also come packaged with a Jordan-branded pizza sticker.
All in all, the resulting sneaker is a playful theme that isn’t too over-the-top in its execution. It should prove especially popular with kids, as the sneaker will be released exclusively in grade school, preschool and toddler sizes.
Those keeping notes may remember rumors of a similar pizza-inspired “Do the Right Thing” Air Jordan 4 themed after Spike Lee’s classic film. Said to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the movie in 2019, the sneaker never materialized at retail.
Along with the Air Jordan 4 Retro, the theme will carry over to an Air Jordan 1 Retro Low with a matching Sesame/Fire Red/White/Black colorway.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Pizza” will be released Aug. 1 with a retail price of $160 in GS sizes and a style code of IH2094-200. It’s likely that the Air Jordan 1 Low will be released around the same time. Both pairs will be available from Nike’s e-commerce store and select Jordan Brand retailers.
