Through his neon color palettes and of-the-moment silhouette selections, rapper and culinary extraordinaire Action Bronson is quickly assembling one of the more impressive artist sneaker collaboration résumés in music. And after dropping two new styles of the 990v6 model in April, the “Baklava” New Balance collaborator isn’t letting up, as he’s already begun teasing another release.
On Instagram, Action Bronson shared a new look at his upcoming New Balance 992. The style was revealed in April at a Baklava Megastore pop-up event in New York City, where all of the rapper’s collaborations thus far were available for sale.

On display for viewing only was the upcoming Action Bronson x New Balance 992, which uses a mostly suede brown base with synthetic paneling. A bright red wide mesh base breaks up the neutral look, and there’s a royal blue suede tongue paired with blue rope laces. All in all, it’s hard not to imagine possible New York Knicks inspiration, although this has yet to be confirmed by the artist.
“ILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN,” he captioned a now-deleted post. No further hints were given as to a potential release date. Given the typical timeline of sneaker collaboration rollouts, it’s likely the Action Bronson x New Balance 992 will be released within the next few months.
Action Bronson and New Balance released their first collaboration in March 2023 in the form of the 990v6 “Baklava.” The artist has since released eight follow-up sneaker collaborations with the Boston-based sportswear brand. Prior to working with New Balance, Action Bronson had a short-lived partnership with Adidas, which included friends and family exclusive sneakers but did not amount to a public release.
In addition to the brown pair that has already been revealed, there are reports of at least one more 992 collaboration from the rapper. According to Sole Retriever, a “Cosmic Rose/Magenta” colorway of the pair will be released in September for a retail price of $250. As for this brown pair, it has a SKU of U992AB1 and more details are expected to be announced soon.
