Tyla Joins the Rockstud Heels Renaissance at Valentino’s Spring 2026 Couture Show in Paris

Both her heels and minidress featured sequin embellishment.

Fresh off performing her new song “Chanel” in a Chanel look on “Jimmy Fallon,” Tyla switched designers to attend the Valentino spring 2026 haute couture show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday with a signature design of the Italian house on foot: Rockstud heels.

The singer wore Valentino’s Rockstud Pump with Plus de Pois embroidery. From a distance, the caged slingback pumps may appear to be patterned with classic polka dots, but they’re more detailed than that: the Plus de Pois design is made up of sequin embroidery. This particular shoe also features a 100mm stiletto heel, moiré fabric straps and, of course, the pyramid-shaped studs that give the Rockstud its name. The shape is inspired by Roman architecture, specifically the “bugnato” design technique used on Roman buildings and palazzi.

For Tyla, the embellished shoes went with a one-shoulder floral sequined minidress in a dusty rose color with orange, yellow and silver hues complementing it. Adding more drama to the look, a flowing sapphire blue scarf was attached to the dress and draped around the musician.

The Rockstud is experiencing a renaissance, with Valentino’s creative director Alessandro Michele reinventing the design in his recent pre-fall collection, showcasing pumps with an elongated metal-tipped square toe, for instance. Rockstud pumps — a red pair, of course — were also prominently featured in the initial teaser trailer for the highly anticipated film “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” worn by Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly.
