Tracee Ellis Ross was one of many stars in attendance at Marc Jacobs‘ spring 2025 read-to-wear fashion show held at the New York Public Library on Feb. 3, and she went all in on the funky aesthetic that was prominently displayed at the event.
While many opted to wear Marc Jacobs’ famous Kiki boot to the show, Ross went for a different silhouette, sliding on a bold black pump with an upturned pointed toe to accompany a colorful outfit. The new Marc Jacobs collection plays with proportion, and you could see that characteristic not only on the runway but also in the outfits of various attendees. Donning a look from the label’s fall 2024 collection, Ross wore a bright yellow jacket with strong shoulders, large pearlescent buttons and an elevated white collar. The jacket accompanied a violet-hued skirt that flared out at the bottom.

The whimsical ensemble went with a pair of platform block heel pumps designed with a remarkable silhouette. The back of the shoe featured a convex outline while the front curved dramatically upward into a point, recalling footwear silhouettes of other time periods and cultures.
