Tessa Thompson and Pierpaolo Piccioli wore custom-made Balenciaga looks and matching white footwear while attending the 2025 Franca Fund Gala at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar, on
Sunday.
For the event, Thompson wore a sequin drop bustier dress in aqua green satin color. She paired it with the Balenciaga Gala earrings in brass and green rhinestones, long gloves in porcelain white leather with
matching Duchess pumps in white calfskin leather.

The shoes are a new style from the Balenciaga spring 2026 collection. The stark white pumps featured a a deep V-cut vamp on the upper, which led to a pointed-toe silhouette that was completed with a slightly squared tip. Similar to the Balenciaga Knife pumps, the “Creed” star’s heels featured a steep arch and a slim heel measuring around 4 inches.
The shoes were introduced in October as part of Piccioli’s strong first collection as Balenciaga’s creative director. The Duchess pumps made several appearances at the designer’s runway debut with the brand during Paris Fashion Week, and the shoes were featured in red, gray, nude, black and black patent leather.
On Sunday, Piccioli walked the red carpet at Franca Fund Gala alongside Thompson and the designer wore a double-breasted tailored Balenciaga jacket and matching pants in black wool tailoring twill with a regular fit shirt in white cotton poplin. He matched her shoes, wearing a pair of all-white sneakers.
