Samara Weaving pushed the all-red shoe wave further on Monday night, arriving at the Los Angeles premiere of “Over Your Dead Body” at Vidiots in Christian Louboutin’s Lasera Strass pumps, a Fever red pair that took the recent monochrome run into denser, sharper territory.
Weaving wore the Lasera Strass Pump in Fever red, a 100mm pointed style in embroidered veau velours and PVC. A smooth red suede heel counter rose high at the back, while the side opened into a scalloped, laser-cut frame with curved flame-like shapes that exposed the arch and side of the foot. The front narrowed into a long tapered point. Red strass covered the toe and continued across the cutwork upper in mixed sizes, giving parts of the surface a darker garnet cast and others a brighter, glassier flash. Christian Louboutin lists the style with more than 2,000 red-toned strass.
That made Weaving’s pair a more intricate entry in the recent all-red celebrity stretch. Meryl Streep used glossy red Aldo slingbacks earlier Monday in Mexico City for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” while Heidi Klum leaned on candy-red croc-effect Pigalle Follies Louboutins last week in Manhattan. Weaving took the same color story into cutwork, crystal density and a more elaborate pointed pump.

The actress matched the intricate heels with a fitted, off-the-shoulder ruched dress from Bumpsuit x Jasmine Tookes, with the body-skimming silhouette tracing her baby bump and keeping the entire look within one saturated color story. Red nails extended the monochrome line.
In “Over Your Dead Body,” Weaving stars opposite Jason Segel as one half of a married couple whose getaway to a secluded cabin doubles as a mutual murder plot. Directed by Jorma Taccone, the action-comedy thriller premiered at SXSW earlier this month and is set for U.S. theatrical release on April 24.
