Salma Hayek and husband François Henri-Pinault showed support for Balenciaga, which belongs to Henri-Pinault’s Kering conglomerate, by attending the brand’s fall 2025 haute couture show in Paris on Wednesday. The duo stepped out in complementary dark ensembles, with Hayek wearing one of her favorite footwear looks — hefty platform heels — with a black velvet dress.
Hayek opted for a pair of satiny black shoes featuring a rounded toe, elevated by a platform, and a towering, tapered heel in the back. A small triangular cutout at the vamp created a subtle peep-toe look, revealing a red pedicure.

The set made a glamorous statement with a gold chain strap feature forming a T shape across the foot, recalling the classic pump aesthetic of decades past. The shoes also showcased a d’Orsay silhouette, thereby revealing more of the side of the foot than a typical pump. The gold chain element echoed a design that has been showcased by Gucci, a Kering brand which Hayek often reps, through various shoes.
Hayek previously wore an iteration of the look featuring a metallic gold heel back in 2011 while promoting “Puss in Boots.”
For Balenciaga, Hayek kept things classic when it came to her dress, stepping out in a full-length sleeveless black velvet garment with a fitted bodice, draping at the waist and a column skirt with a knee-high slit. Aligning with her shoes, she went with gold accessories, including chunky heart-shaped earrings from Balenciaga and a thick gold ring. She also wore Balenciaga sunglasses and carried a black purse with gold accents.
Hayek’s husband, François Henri-Pinault, is set to step away from his position as chief executive officer of Kering, with Luca de Meo taking on the role come Sept. 15.
