PinkPantheress brought a feminine, preppy edge to Burberry‘s holiday soirée Tuesday evening, pairing a quilted ballerina silhouette from the house with a coordinating ensemble for the unveiling of the Burberry and Claridge’s 2025 Christmas Tree in London.
For the Burberry event, the “Illegal” singer slipped on the brand’s Leather Sadler Ballerina shoes in black, a quilted leather flat finished with a rounded toe and allover Equestrian Knight Design embroidery.
Ballet and ballet-inspired shoes have been having something of a resurgence, fitting in with an overall shift away from platform and chunky shoes toward slimmer silhouettes. Five flat shoe styles, which also included Prada’s Collapse Re-Nylon and suede sneaker and The Row’s polarizing Dune flip-flop, were among the 10 hottest products reported in the Q2 2025 Lyst Index, marking the style one of the highest trending shoes for the year.

Besides PinkPantheress, several other celebrities have worn ballet flats lately. Olivia Rodrigo wore Mary Jane flats from Miu Miu while performing last month, while Zoe Kravitz wore a black pair while promoting “Caught Stealing” in August.
As for the rest of her outfit, PinkPantheress kept the preppy look going. She wore a black minidress, also from Burberry. Her wool trench dress featured short sleeves and gold buttons as well as a gold belt that mimicked a trenchcoat look in a dress. She added a matching cropped trench jacket over the dress and carried a black shoulder bag.
The preppy look is relatively standard for the singer. She often wears plaid skirts and polo T-shirts, as well as ballet flats. When attending Coperni’s fall 2025 show earlier this year, PinkPantheress wore a brown plaid mini dress paired with riding boots.
