Lori Harvey Embraces White Hot Trend in Classic Heels and McQueen Dress for Black Women in Music Dinner

The event took place in Los Angeles.

Lori Harvey was in attendance at the Black Women in Music Dinner in Los Angeles on Tuesday, embracing the ongoing white hot trend in footwear. The model and entrepreneur wore a classic pair of white heels with a statement-making pointed toe and low-cut vamp — a timeless silhouette that can be found from myriad brands.

Harvey is the latest celebrity to embrace the white heels trend, following Queen Letizia at the Madrid Book Fair and Scarlett Johansson at the Cannes Film Festival. The footwear trend was also seen in the spring 2025 runways from Aläia, Bottega Veneta and Courègues.

Harvey paired her shoes with a look from Alexander McQueen’s spring 2015 collection: a fitted white dress featuring mirrored appliqués that snaked around the skirt. The bust updated the hue and materiality of the look with a cream-colored, reptilian fabric featuring cutouts.

The McQueen spring 2015 collection was designed by Sarah Burton, who served as creative director for the label from 2010-23. A 2014 review of the collection of this particular collection for WWD revealed, “Her spring collection was based on her own treasured collection of antique kimonos and intricate fabric swatches she began acquiring when she started working with Alexander McQueen, traveling to Japan several times a year for the job.”

Harvey’s looks are wide-ranging, but you can often find her sporting luxury brands, whether it’s a padded blazer from Jacquemus, PVC heels from Victoria Beckham or vintage necklaces from Chanel.

The Black Women in Music Dinner inaugural event, hosted by The Connie Orlando Foundation at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion, featured additional guests, including Andra Day and Phylicia Fant.
