Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, wearing a custom blue Luar flamenco dress complemented by touches of red, including her dance-ready block-heel pumps.
Dressed up in the colors of Puerto Rico, the pop star performed a Latin version of the power ballad “Die With a Smile,” her Grammy-winning duet with Bruno Mars. The red was introduced through her shoes and her manicure in addition to a custom Piers Atkinson corsage showcasing the official Puerto Rico flower, flor de Maga.
Allowing her to dance with Bad Bunny, the shoes were a block heel d’Orsay pump style in a patent scarlet color; the style was completed by a rounded toe and slender buckled ankle strap. They stood out against the pale blue of the custom Luar dress, a ruched drop-waist garment with a tiered skirt and V-neck. Gaga was styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo for the occasion.

The blue and red color scheme is also seen in the “Die With a Smile” music video. The Super Bowl outfit was a more Caribbean take on the country-inspired palette in the video, which included a long sleeve blue dress, red scarf, red tights and red Roger Vivier Choc Love Vivier pumps.
Both red shoe styles, from the video and the Super Bowl, are more toned down footwear moments when it comes to Lady Gaga. She is known to be daring in all aspects of dressing, and that often means towering platforms, like an unconventional pump by Christian Louboutin for Matières Fécales, or ultra-tall Mary Jane heels by Enfants Riches Déprimés.
