Kate Middleton Steps Into Fall’s Suede Trend for Outing With Melania Trump

The royal wore bespoke Gianvitto Rossi boots.

Kate Middleton stuck to a tried-and-true boot for a casual meeting with U.S. First Lady Melania Trump in Windsor, England, on Friday. The royal opted for a pair of custom Gianvito Rossi boots that have been a part of her footwear rotation over the years.

Middleton has leaned full force into the new season, wearing a layered look that was decked out in a fall neutral color palette. On her feet, the princess of Wales is already ahead of the curve, wearing a suede pointed toe boot, a material that is predicted to be on trend in the upcoming winter months.

Her bespoke brown boots featured a sharp and narrow pointed toe, with a block heel measuring around four inches. The boots feature a knee-high design as well as an inside zipper, making them easier to slip on. She wore the same boots in black to the annual Christmas Day service last December, and earlier that month, she wore the style in burgundy leather material.

For the tour around the grounds of Frogmore Cottage with the first lady, Middleton went for a Me+Em Dark Green Suede Cropped Military Jacket, which retails for $950, and paired it with a Me+Em knitted vest and a long Ralph Lauren Evilyn Birdseye Tweed Skirt in dark brown. She wore a scarf from Sudbury Silk Mills and a black leather Ralph Lauren belt.

The boots are a predictable choice for Middleton, who has remained loyal to a handful of brands throughout the years. She repeatedly wears Gianvito Rossi‘s classic Gianvito 105 pointed pumps for formal outings and events, available in an array of colors. For galas and special events, she often opts for Aquazzura. She opted for a pair of the Colombian designer’s Fenix 105 Gold Pumps, which retail for $750, to attend the State Banquet dinner at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.

Trump complimented Middleton’s look by wearing her own neutral ensemble, which included a pair of Roger Vivier Trompette Quadrata leather ballet flats. During the visit, the pair met with the young members of the Scouts’ Squirrels program for outside play and activities.
